My name is Charlie Henson and this is my AS Media Blog, this subject is one that I really enjoy as I can express my ideas creatively and present them in a variety of ways to make them look appealing to the audience. I am really interested in media as a subject and hope I can benefit from the theory and practical elements that I learn over the 2 years I study this subject.

MARKET/GENRE RESEARCH/ANALYSIS OF PAST STUDENTS WORK - CHARLIE
This is a piece of work that was done by a
previous AS level group and we want ours to be similar to this because it is an intense
chase scene that engages the audience. It has been done in a realistic location
similar to what we are able to film in, for example; there are no major health
and safety risks. The filming is done well because it is clear what is going on
during each shot and there are a variety of shots used, despite this there is
still a sense of continuity. As our scene will be
filmed at Crystal Palace train station and South Norwood Lakes it will be a bit
different as this one is mainly filmed inside a shopping centre, our film will
involve The Boss setting up Mason and Tom is following him.We are looking to
conform to the stereotype of men being violent and dominant humans, we are
doing this by having one man follow and begin to attack
another another man in our scene, both of the actors are young and will be
dressed in suited clothing so that the scene can feel serious. Mason
will be followed out of the train station at a fast pace and this
kind of behaviour in today’s society is considered suspicious. And this is the
stereotype of what young people get up to when they are not in education, e.g. –
the thought that they are always on the street causing trouble. We hope to include as
many different camera shots as possible such as Low angle, High angle shots and
close ups, we think that point of view shots will work really well especially
when there are shots of Mason being
followed.
